HOW-TO: Testing Stripe

Testing Whether Stripe is Correctly Connected to Your MobilBid Auction

Quick Verification:  On your Auction DashBoard, within the SETTINGS Panel, look to confirm that the STRIPE MODE is "Live".  If it says anything else other than "Live", it is not enabled  and will not process payments.  The CURRENCY is also specified, which will be either CAD or USD.


Submitting a $1 Test Payment:  

Should you wish to test to make sure payments appear within your Stripe account, the steps are:

  1. Go to the Auction Dashboard
  2. From the right-side menu (head & shoulders icon at top right), select Organizational Settings
  3. Select Credit Card Settings
  4. Press the TEST $1 CHARGE button, key in a valid credit card and submit.  DO NOT ENABLE THE OVERRIDE OPTION!!!
  5. Login to your Stripe account dashboard - you will see the $1 payment.
  6. Optional - login to your personal online banking account and see if the charge is submitted to your credit card.
  7. Optional - wait the appropriate period (7 days by default) and confirm the money has been deposited to your bank account (less Stripe fees.)
