PRO TIP: Donations after The Auction Ends

Question:  A number of our patrons would have liked to make a donation, but were waiting to know if they had won an auction item or not.  Is there a way of allowing them to make a donation AFTER the auction ends?

Answer:  Yes - the best way to do this is to add the website URL of your charity's online donation page to the "Non-Winning Notification" Message Template (both the email and SMS version.)  When the auction ends and a patron is not a winning bidder, they will get the message, and can click on the link to your online donation page.  Doing this also has the advantage of using your existing donation acknowledgement and tax receipting process.
