FAQ: Staggered End Times

Question:  Can MobilBid be configured to end bidding of different groups of items at different times?

Answer:  MobilBid is optimized to quickly and efficiently end bidding on all items at the same point in time.  Staggered or staged endings mean delays in invoicing of completed items, and patrons who bid on multiple items must wait for the last ending in any case.

Workaround:  If you require staggered endings, then set up multiple auctions within a single organization.  When one auction closes, put the next into Running mode and have the platform send notifications to all patrons.  Each auction can be ended, invoices generated and paid, independently from the others.  We HIGHLY recommend you not run multiple auctions simultaneously, as patrons would have to log out of one and log into the other - it would get confusing!
