FAQ: Is there a BUY IT NOW option?

Question:  We have some items we simply want to offer at a fixed price, how do we make them "Buy it Now"?

Answer:  The MULTI-SALE item type can do this.  When you create a new item, choose the TYPE as MULTI-SALE (the default is SILENT.) Set the quantity of items available to 1, and the selling price.  Your patrons will have the ability to buy it, and it will be added to their final invoice at auction end.  The item will no longer be available for others to purchase - first come, first served!  If you have multiple copies of the same item, set the quantity available as appropriate - the system will keep track and once all are sold, will no longer offer it.

Note: The system does not offer the ability for a SILENT auction type to be bid upon, but also have the option of a "buy it now" button for keen patrons to lock in a purchase at a higher price.
