FAQ: Can MobilBid be Used to Bid on a Computer?
Question: Are bidders only able to bid using a smartphone?
Answer: MobilBid can be used by any web browser - phone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer. However, as our name implies, the MobilBid platform is optimized for use on phones. Access is much easier (guests simply text to a dedicated number and get a link that takes them right into the auction) and the pages are designed for smaller screens, so they load quickly and use minimal bandwidth.
Using MobilBid on a computer will work, but the screens are not as visually appealing, and the process to login involves extra steps (a generic URL takes a guest to a registration page where they key in their email, which will send them a link to access the auction.)
We always recommend use on a phone, with use on a computer as a fall-back.
