FAQ: Missing $-dollar Signs

Question:  Some of the amounts are missing the $-dollar sign in front of them - what's up?

Answer:  You are most likely referring to figures typed into the VALUATION field.  The valuation field is a free-format text field.  Whatever you type in that field is displayed next to the "Value" label for patrons to see.  It allows you to key in text, such as "Priceless!", but if you key in a dollar value you need to format it with a dollar sign or any other punctuation (e.g. if you want 1000 to appear as "$1,000.00" you need to key it in exactly as you want it to appear.)
