FAQ: How do I move an auction in preview back to planning?

Question:  I've been testing my auction in Preview mode, but want to move it back to Planning - how do I do that?

Answer:  Auctions can only "move forward", it isn't possible to revert to a prior status.  But you can easily duplicate an auction, making an exact copy - which will be in Planning mode.  Move the original to Run, then Postview, then Archive it (and delete it if you don't need it again.)

Tip:  As long as you haven't promoted the auction to your audience, there is no reason to revert back to Planning mode. In both Preview and Run modes you can still add or edit items, update all the settings and configuration. The only restriction is that items with bids against them cannot be deleted.
