FAQ: Split Payments from One Invoice

Question:  Am I able to split a payment for a single invoice?  If a person bids for their friend as well as places their own bids, the one invoice will have items that each want to pay for - how is that done?

Answer:  Yes, it is possible, but an administrator has to do it - the patron can't do it from their phone.  This process is also used to process cash and cheque payments.

Instructions: From the auction dashboard >> Invoices >> select the person with the invoice >> use the MAKE A PAYMENT button (top right) >> Choose the payment type from the drop-down and process as needed.

Notes: This is not possible if the invoice has already been paid (e.g. if a credit card was already on file at closing.)   If you want to process two credit cards you'll need to do one, delete the first card, then process the second.
