Instructions: Uploading Item Photos

Question:  How do I add a photo to an auction item?

Answer:  Each auction item can have a single photo.  A thumbnail image will display within the list of all items that patrons see, and a larger version of the same image will display within the item detail page.  The system accepts .jpg and .png image files of any size and dimensions, they will be re-sized as necessary.

Instructions: You have two ways:

  1. Upload them one-by-one as part of the editing of each item.  Edit the item you want to add a picture to, and at the bottom click the "Choose File" button and select the image from your computer.  When you save the item details the photo will be uploaded and put into place.  You can delete and/or re-load a replacement at any time, if desired.  This method is useful if doing a single item, either uploading the image for the first time, replacing an existing image, or deleting an existing image.
  2. Bulk Upload/Edit photos, which is most useful when you have recently bulk uploaded a list of items from a spreadsheet and want to add matching images.  See the following screenshots how to access the bulk edit mode:

From your list of items, click the "gear" icon:

From the drop-down list, choose the Photo Edit option:

You'll be presented with a page of (up to) 20 items, drag and drop photos from your computer to match each item.  Save before moving to the next page of 20 items!  Use this method to add or replace images.  Only one image is allowed per item.  If you try to add multiple items, only the last one loaded will be saved.
