FAQ: Does the assigned auction Phone Number ever change?
Question: Each auction is assigned a local phone number for patrons to text-to and register - does the phone number change if I duplicate the auction?
Short Answer: The number stays the same.
Long Answer: The local phone number is assigned at the organizational level, so it is used across all the auctions under that umbrella. Since only one auction can run at a time, the phone number stays the same for all auctions.
Note: Because the phone numbers are a scarce resource, MobilBid recycles numbers across many clients. For example, if you only run one auction a year, we'll only assign one for the duration of your auction, then remove it and use it elsewhere - in which case the number will change from year to year.
