FAQ: What is better to distribute for guests to regsiter - the phone number or the website URL?

Question:  What is the best way for guests to register for a MobilBid auction?

Answer:  There are two options:

1. The easiest and recommended option for in-person events is to distribute/publish the designated local phone number to your guests, and have them text to the number, receive back a link and follow the instructions.  The local number will be displayed on your auction dashboard.  If it isn't there, let MobilBid Support know that you are indeed running an auction, and one will be assigned.  Local phone numbers are not assigned automatically, you must confirm you will be using MobilBid for your auction - one will be assigned at no extra charge.
2. The second option is to provide a website address (a URL) which works well for online or hybrid events - guests can click the URL and register.  The auction URL is displayed on the auction dashboard in the AUCTION LOGIN section. You can generate a QR code from this URL. The URL method will allow guests to enter an email OR a cell number.
