How do I set up custom messages for auctions?
To set up custom messages for auctions, do the following.
- From your Organizations screen, find the Organization with the auction you want to set up custom messages.
- Click Select Organization.
- Then from the Auctions page, find the Auction for which you want to set up custom messages.
- Click the Options button.
- On the pop-up screen, click the Admin link.
- This will take you to the Auction Dashboard page.
- Click on Settings on the left menu to access your auction's Settings.
- Click on Message Templates to edit the messages
- Select one of the Custom Messages to edit. (Email and SMS versions are contained in each template.)
- Edit the custom message. When you are done, click Update Auction Message Template button
PRO TIP: Custom Messaging can be used effectively to highlight items, urge participation and as countdown notices toward the end of the auction.
