Question:  What is a Silent auction item type, when should I use it?

Answer:  Silent auction items are usually used for an online or in-person auction.  Silent-type items can be bid on when the auction is running, and bidders will see the current highest bid, and can place a bid in turn.  Bidders will get outbid alerts (text and/or email.)  The highest bidder at auction closing is the winner, and will be notified and receive an invoice with a summary of their items and amount owed.
